Position Overview

KRE8ivU is on the lookout for a Part-Time Cinematography & Filmmaking Instructor with expertise in audio and music production. This role is ideal for someone passionate about using filmmaking and audio production as a vehicle to teach STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and vocational skills. The successful candidate will play a vital role in our diverse programs that include summer camps, after-school and in-school programs, specifically designed for at-risk youth, programs on college campuses, and school districts.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development and Instruction:
• Develop and instruct courses in cinematography and filmmaking with an emphasis on integrating audio production.
• Utilize these subjects to teach broader STEAM concepts and vocational training.
• Tailor learning experiences to a variety of educational settings, including at-risk youth programs and college campus initiatives.
• Engagement and Student Support:
• Engage students from diverse backgrounds in creating projects that not only teach technical skills but also foster soft skills like teamwork and problem-solving.
• Provide supportive feedback and guidance to help students achieve their educational and creative potential.
• Program Development:
• Collaborate with program directors to enhance educational content and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of different programs and student groups.

Qualifications

• Educational Background:
• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Cinematography, Audio Production, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional experience in filmmaking or cinematography, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Skills and Experience:
• Proven ability to teach and mentor in the fields of cinematography and audio production.
• Familiarity with STEAM education methodologies and vocational training.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of motivating students.
